Our Story
BTI is a small, family-owned waste management and hauling business that started in the 1970s. We have been providing reliable and efficient waste management solutions to our clients for over 40 years. Our mission is to help our clients achieve their sustainability goals by providing environmentally conscious waste management solutions.

Our services include waste collection and disposal, recycling, and composting. Our Journey
BTI was founded in the 1970s by Rodney & Marion Brand; who later grew the business into a family of waste management professionals who delivered a need for reliable and sustainable waste management solutions in their community.

The business started as one from necessity; Rodney & Marion invested everything they owned into the foundation of the business. Marion sacrificed her career to support raising their 3 children and helping manage administrative needs of the business while Rodney would work in access of 100+ hour weeks as a one-man show across mechanically managing the trucks and a 5,000 sqft. garage while being the sole driver and hauler of commercial waste for the business.

The businesses focus has always been, and will continue to be, on slow and steady growth. As time went on the business would prosper; requiring Jim Brand to join the business in the 1990's as the second Swiss-army-knife to support the growing demand of the operation.

While time progressed the business continued to slowly grow without any changes in ownership structure, or big loans from banks - all in the pursuit of making sure our focus is delivering exceptional service back to our community at a honest price.
Since the 90's we've expanded our business to get outside of the family - hiring those who believe in the same values as the Brand. We're proud to employ 15+ individuals within our community to support the growing demand of the business. In addition, we have expanded our services to meet the growing needs of our clients. Today, we offer a wide range of waste management solutions, including recycling and composting services, to help our clients achieve their sustainability goals. Our commitment to innovation and sustainability has enabled us to stay at the forefront of the waste management industry.
